FIRST WINTER PRODUCTION FOR THE SEASON

Our first show of the winter season is sure to have every one on the edge of their seats. A thriller? A ghost story? Or is it true? You come and decide.

Thirty Years ago Nora's mother disappeared into the small dense forest of Butler's Marsh. In her own moment of crisis Nora ventures to Newfoundland for the first time to explore Butler's Marsh. Accompanied by her partner Tim who, though less than helpful is nevertheless adamant that she not be left alone. As the night unfolds that becomes less troubling than exactly whom she is with? This show stars Amelia Manuel and Greg White and is directed by Artistic Director Geoff Adams. This show play was written by acclaimed Newfoundland playwright ROBERT CHAFE.

Come out for an evening of magical and ghostly storytelling. Combine with an afternoon of skiing on the hill or a evening tour of the newly lit cross-country ski trail around the pond.TICKETS are $17.50 .
Show Times are February 7, 8, 9, & 10
All shows are at 8 PM with a 2 PM PAY WHAT YOU CAN on Saturday the 9th.

THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

From myself and the Board of Trustees of The New Curtain Theatre company I would like to wish each and every one of you a happy holiday season and a bright and prosperous New Year for 2008. Thank you all as well for coming out to help us and listen to on the 21 and 22 of December in the reading (Our 1st Annual I hope) of Dickens - A CHRISTMAS CAROL. This I see as the birth of an annual event that will grow each and every year. This event helped us raise a decent amount to contribute toward paying off our renovation over-runs. Also the pudding sales were a hit again this year. With my move of residence (and difficulty in procuring supplies) we didn't have the time to organize the wreath making as last year.

Next year I will be organizing an even bigger Christmas festivity with ideas already starting to form. If any of you have anything in mind to consider please pass it along and who knows it may surface on the roster - remember we are a company for the people and the community.

Keep in tune for upcoming events as we just received some needed funding from the province that will enable us to keep plodding ahead with the shows.

Pass the word along to your friends and get them out to see our next show.

Cheers and Happy Holidays
Geoff
